As an ambassador you'll receive special training so that you can be the most effective advocate and champion for the MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY cause that you can be.
Before the Road Trip
In the lead up to the road trip you'll be trained as a knowledgeable and persuasive communicator, able to advocate in a face to face way extremely effectively. This includes:
- Knowledge training: What is extreme poverty, what is aid, does it work, common criticisms and responses to foreign aid, the impact of climate change on the worlds poor, the Millennium Development Goals and much more.
- Skill training: Persuasive communication, effective public speaking, media training, lobbying training and MP engagement. In particular some Ambassadors will be selected and taught to deliver a special 30 minute version of the Global Poverty Project presentation, enabling you to communicate intelligently, effectively and quickly about issues of extreme poverty.
