On Thursday 13th of May we'll all be going to Parliament house for breakfast. But this isn't just any breakfast - we're not talking rice bubbles and long life milk here.
The Road Trip is ultimately about two things: impact and change. We're committed to taking action in a way that has the biggest impact that's possible, giving us the greatest chance of creating real change and increasing the size and effectiveness of our Aid budget.
That's why political engagement is such a big part of the road trip. On the actual road trip we'll be meeting with MPs at electorate forums, individual meetings and other events. In Canberra we've got a chance to meet with hundreds of MPs - face to face - and demonstrate the support that exists in their electorates and across the country for Making Poverty History.
On Thursday the 13th of May we'll be in one of Parliament Houses internal courtyards with a huge number of Federal MPs. You'll be in small groups with your MP or a Senator from your state you'll have the chance to talk directly to those able to make decisions.
This will be your chance to represent the tens of thousands we speak to along the road trip. It will be your chance to convince an MP about the need for Australia to do its fair share.
The food will be good as well.
